You are looking at a Lok-Eye (Hook-N-Eye) Needle. This item 1194-00 is a ten pack of lacing needles that take up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) lace. These needles hold the lace securely and are easy to thread.

it caught my eye
While I'm not a leather working professional, I do use leather a lot in my small business. Lacing had always been , to me, an unnecessary act. It caused excessive wear on pants pockets with wallet edges, it was clunky and obtrusive. I preferred stitching. But after starting a new line of products, I decided it was an easier alternative to stitching and added that Primitive look that I needed in the product. I tried lacing with just a piece of twisted wire and it worked, but not well enough so I ordered a pack of 2 prong lacing needles. What a difference! They do take a little getting used to, but once you catch on to getting the lace into the needle, you'll NEVER go any other route. They make it easy to get pro results!!! My suggestion, buy a lacing chisel also, maybe more than one. I recommend at least a 4 prong.A single prong would be an asset as well. Those two chisels will cover any needs you might have.
