      I realize that this is considered a " holster" clip, but I don't make holsters, I make knife sheathes. The clip is built well enough to take constant opening and closing. I needed a clip for a custom boot knife sheath and this one looked like it would work, it does! The only downside I found is, that there is only one rivet hole and, if in the future, if the rivet were to loosen from hard use, it might begin to rotate around the rivet. However, with a carbide drill bit that I use to drill pin holes in hardened blades I was able to easily drill a second hole in the spring steel. The generous size of the opening makes it usable for a large variety of boot tops. It fits easily over Timberline work boots and I'm certain that a cowboy boot or a Wellington work boot would not be a problem?. I would recommend this clip completely.
