Cut from brushed, top grain cowhide, this soft textured lace is strong and preferred by jewelry makers. It is flexible, but has very little stretch. It will keep its width during use. The 1/8 inch width is ideal for stringing pony beads, trimming garments, Indian lore projects and kids crafts. Braid several colors to create beautiful patterns for lanyards, handles, fashion belts, headbands and bracelets.

Cow leather
This new cow leather is very stiff. I much prefer the pig leather that used to be sold because it was much softer and more pliable. I wish the pig leather would be available in 1/8" x 25 yd spools

Perfect for my needs!
Purchased this for jewelry making (tassels) and it has served it's purpose beautifully so far. Just as described and a nice rich black. I only wish it came in a larger spool. Thankfully, I only use a little at a time so this should be good for the time being.
